Vista SP1 fails at Ivy school

The Information Systems & Computing department at the University of Pennsylvania is recommending that students and faculty avoid upgrading their Windows Vista computers with the new service pack.

The department “strongly recommends that all other users adopt a ‘wait and see’ attitude with the Vista SP1 upgrade.

According to one user who updated his Vista PC, he suffered a blue screen of death while installing the update. Other problems ranged from being unable to download the software to sudden increases in memory usage. (Link)
